Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara stands among Sri Lanka's most revered Buddhist temples, and each year the Duruthu Maha Perahera brings its story to life a festival of light, devotion, and unbroken tradition that has drawn generations of pilgrims to this sacred soil. In 2027, we mark 100 years since the revival of this festival's Second Era. To honor that milestone, we are building something that will carry this legacy forward: a beautifully crafted heritage fence around the temple's sacred site garden a space of prayer, reflection, and peace for every soul who visits.
